ABOUT

I graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design. After college I worked as a Graphic Artist for a couple of years before landing an Art Director position for a national publishing company. I spent the first few years handling photography and ad design for the Austin and San Antonio Apartment Guides before being promoted to their regional office in Dallas, Texas. As a Regional Art Director I produced 6 monthly publications. My responsibilities included: scheduling, ad design, page production, vendor coordination, and production budgets. After approximately 3 years in this role, I was promoted to the title of Production Manager and moved to their corporate offices in Atlanta, Georgia. In this new position I took on the management of 13 off-site art departments across the U.S. I became the lead Production Manager during the acquisition of 19 new publications over the next 4 years. I was promoted to Director of Operations for the company’s production division, Electronic Graphics Group, in 2000. As the Director of Operations, I oversaw the design and production of 80+ monthly periodicals and a staff of 98 employees, the majority being graphic artists and designers. I also managed an operating budget of $5.4 million annually.

In 2005 I left my position with the national publishing company to take a career pause and spend some quality time with my young daughter and finish a Masters Degree in Education. During this time, I taught online design and computer classes through a virtual campus and established a part-time, freelance marketing and design business. By 2010 this part-time business had turned into full-time consulting work. I have been providing consulting services in digital marketing and graphic design with an emphasis in e-commerce and paid search. I am a Google Certified Partner in Google Ads.

I would love to go back into a corporate setting and work with a staff of creative individuals again providing marketing or design solutions for a growing company.
